Aiko Poole was born in the UK and graduated from Musashino Art University's Department of Architecture. After working at an architectural firm and an art gallery, she went back to the UK to study gardening, and it was through that quieter, more observant way of living that her illustration practice deepened. She held her first solo exhibition in Kita-Kamakura in spring 2017 and has held several each year since.

Her subjects are plants, animals, and the small things that catch her eye in daily life, rendered in watercolor and colored pencils with a softness that feels unhurried. TOUCH & FLOW collaborated with her to bring that sensibility into postcard form. The result is a set of ten designs that sit comfortably between everyday stationery and something worth keeping. The Cat design, in particular, was noted as one you'd want to send to someone, though slipping any of these into a transparent tracing paper envelope turns it into a gift attachment without any extra wrapping needed.
