Japanese summer greetings (暑中見舞い) have a long tradition of conveying a cool, refreshing feeling to the recipient. This fan card takes that convention literally: the card itself becomes a hand fan, so the gesture of sending a cool breeze is built into the object.

The body is thick, rigid clear PET rather than paper, which holds its shape while fanning and shows off the full-surface silver foil from both sides.
