The Paintable Rotating Stamp was designed around a simple frustration: swapping between multiple stamps mid-decoration is clunky. By housing 10 designs in a single rotating barrel, MIDORI collapsed what would normally be a collection of separate tools into one compact unit.

The soft color ink choice is deliberate. Standard stamp inks tend to dominate the page and fight with pen colors and washi tape. The soft brown here is calibrated to sit quietly alongside other elements, working as a supporting layer rather than the loudest thing on the spread.

The oil-based pigment formula solves a practical problem for anyone who colors over stamps: water-based markers applied on top will not cause the ink beneath to bleed or reactivate. The ink also stays within the stamp's own built-in pad, so there is no need to source a compatible external pad or worry about re-inking frequency until roughly 2,000 impressions in. When the ink does run low, a separately sold refill restores the pad without replacing the stamp body.
