Behind the Design

OKU LETTER reduces the letter-writing process to three steps: write, fold, and send. The sheet itself folds into the mailing envelope, which removes the need for a separate envelope and simplifies the whole act of sending a physical note.

The design team added illustrated sticker sets as the finishing touch, letting the sender choose a motif that matches the recipient's tastes rather than committing to a single design across all five sheets. The three design options — donburi, sushi, and cat — each come with 6 sticker varieties, so no two letters in a set need to look identical.

Each sheet doubles as its own envelope, so there is no separate mailing sleeve to track down. You write, fold, seal with the included sticker tabs, and drop it in the post. Illustrated stickers featuring sushi, rice bowl, and cat designs finish the look and let you personalize the message for whoever is receiving it.
