Aderia Retro is a line of revived glassware from Japanese glass manufacturer Aderia, originally produced during the Showa era (roughly the 1950s through 1980s). The glassware's bold patterns and color combinations, once a fixture of everyday Japanese household life, were reissued after younger generations rediscovered them as nostalgic and charming.

RYU-RYU translated those same motifs into letter pads under their Aderia Retro stationery collaboration. Each of the four designs draws from a different piece in the Aderia catalog: pattern repetitions, logo marks, and glass-form illustrations rendered in period-appropriate color palettes. The paper stock was specifically chosen to work with fountain pens and glass pens, reflecting how the designs appeal to stationery enthusiasts who already write with those instruments. The mix of vertical and horizontal layouts means the pad works across different letter-writing conventions.
