Aderia Retro is a line of glassware originally produced in Japan during the Showa era, featuring bold patterns and vivid colors that defined mid-century Japanese domestic design. The glasses fell out of fashion for decades before a revival reissue turned them into a breakout hit, with younger generations discovering the designs fresh while older generations reconnected with childhood nostalgia.

RYU-RYU translated those glass patterns directly into a letter set, with die-cut writing paper cut to the silhouette of the glassware itself. The envelopes reference the original product packaging boxes rather than the glasses, adding a second layer of archival detail. Even the paper storage case carries the pattern on its interior, so the design surrounds you when you open it. The sealing stickers use the logo mark of each individual pattern, tying each design variant into a coherent set.
