The Nuritakurie cards started from a real observation in the fountain pen community: enthusiasts accumulate far more ink than any amount of writing could realistically consume. nouto set out to create a satisfying, low-stakes way to put those bottles to work.

Each card is printed with designs using a transparent, water-repelling ink. The paper looks blank or lightly textured at first glance. When water-based fountain pen ink is swept across the surface, the repellent areas resist the ink and the hidden illustration emerges in white against the inked background. The result shifts dramatically depending on which ink you use, turning each coloring session into a small experiment in color and saturation.

The M5 format fits directly into a Micro5 binder as a refill, so the cards slot naturally into a pocket planner or organizer. Four designs are available: Plants, Tono and Lims Bear, Mushroom 1, and Mushroom 2. The series won the 2025 Tokyo Stationery Awards Collector's Choice Award from JetPens.
