Kissa PuniLabo is a character series from LIHIT LAB built around a fictional retro coffee shop, a "pure kissa," set in the 1950s, the era when LIHIT LAB's predecessor company, LIHIT Sangyo Co., Ltd., was first established. Each character is modeled after an animal native to Japan and comes with an assigned name, personality, and even a favorite food.

The pen case itself takes the shape of one of these animal characters, with the head form and printed details carrying across both front and back, including tails and other markings. The silicone rubber body is the key engineering choice: it collapses flat for carrying and pops into a stable standing cylinder when pressed from the top, turning the case into a desktop pen holder without any extra hardware. The material also wipes or rinses clean easily.
