This notebook was designed with international visitors to Japan in mind. Rather than generic souvenir merchandise, DAIGO leaned into something functional: a palm-sized memo that doubles as a keepsake.

The kanji on each cover were not typeset digitally. A calligraphy designer hand-lettered each character using brush-style technique, then the strokes were reproduced with foil stamping on PVC covers. The five characters chosen, Love, Dream, Beauty, Festival, and Cherry Blossom, represent themes that resonate across cultures while staying rooted in Japanese aesthetics.

The pencil stored in the spine solves a small but real problem: memo notebooks are useless without something to write with. By building pencil storage into the binding itself, the notebook becomes a complete, self-contained tool. The 5mm pink grid keeps handwriting legible without the visual noise of darker ruling.
