Released to mark the 100th anniversary of the Craypas brand, this set was designed specifically around the physical reality of how young children interact with art materials. Young children who haven't yet developed a consistent pincer grip often grab crayons with their whole fist, applying force that snaps standard crayons in half. The Futo Futo form factor resists that breakage while also being easier to grasp in a full-hand hold.

The formula uses beeswax harvested from honeybee combs, which gives the pastels a softer consistency. That softness means color transfers to paper under the gentle pressure a child can realistically apply, and also allows colors to blend together with a simple push. The individual spaces between each crayon in the tray let children pick them out without needing help from an adult.

The washable formula addresses one of the most common frustrations with oil pastels for young children: the marks end up on everything. Skin washes off with water, smooth surfaces wipe clean with a damp cloth, and clothing can be laundered normally, with the caveat that some specialized fabric types may not fully release the pigment.
