The Marumemo is a product that could only come from a printing company with deep bookbinding roots. Marumo Printing developed the circular format as a showcase of their craft: a perfectly round memo pad is surprisingly difficult to produce cleanly, requiring precise cutting and binding that most standard memo manufacturers can't replicate.

The Sweets series applies that same craftsmanship to hyper-detailed illustrations of tarts, donuts, lattes, and pastries. The front face carries the illustration printed lightly enough that it doesn't bleed through, while the back features a clean border frame designed as the actual writing surface. The round shape also means there's no "top" or "bottom" to worry about when you tear off a sheet and jot a note.
