Behind the Design

The Flag Memo Pad came from a simple observation: a checked box tells you a task is done, but it doesn't help you find where you left off. Marumo Printing's answer was to build the marker into the page itself. A triangular section at the corner of each sheet folds back to raise a small colored flag, turning the memo into its own visual index.

The 7-flag structure maps neatly to a week, so the pad works as a compact schedule as naturally as it works for a shopping list. Perforations let you remove individual sheets cleanly once a task is finished, keeping the pad tidy. The Pattern design brings tricolor flag graphics into the mix, leaning into the flag concept as decoration as well as function.

A memo pad where folding back a triangular corner raises a small colored flag, turning a to-do item into a physical marker you can spot at a glance. With 7 flags per pad and perforated sheets, it doubles as a one-week schedule tracker you can tear apart as tasks get done.
