The Nuritakurie series started from a simple observation: fountain pen enthusiasts tend to accumulate far more ink than they ever actually write with. nouto set out to close that gap by creating a coloring card that turns ink consumption into the entire point.

Each postcard is printed with a transparent, water-repelling ink. The design is invisible on the blank white card. When you flood the surface with water-based fountain pen ink, the repelling ink pushes the color away and the hidden illustration appears in white against your chosen ink hue. The result changes completely depending on which ink you reach for, so a single design can look entirely different across a collection of bottles.

The Nuritakurie line features artwork by a rotating roster of illustrators and designers, from intricate circuit board patterns to tarot card imagery and character art. It won the 2025 Tokyo Stationery Awards Collector's Choice Award, chosen by JetPens, recognizing it as a standout product for serious stationery and ink enthusiasts.
