Behind the Design

The Ultra Monsters Collection was created to mark the 60th anniversary of Ultraman, one of Japan's most enduring tokusatsu franchises. Rather than leaning into loud, collector-focused graphics, the design team took a quieter approach: popular monsters like Baltan Seijin and Dada are rendered in familiar, approachable forms that sit comfortably alongside everyday stationery.

The square pochi bag format suits the character art well. Each envelope is sized at 84 × 84 mm, compact enough for small monetary gifts or notes, and each set ships with five pieces in individual packaging. The result is a series that works just as well on a child's desk as it does tucked into an adult's stationery drawer.
