Behind the Design

OHTO developed the GS01 around a single structural idea: a barrel that changes geometry from grip to tip. The body starts hexagonal at the back, where facets prevent rolling and give the fingers something to press against, then transitions to a round profile toward the front for a cleaner look and smoother rotation when uncapping.

The all-metal construction in aluminum, SK steel, and brass gives the pen a noticeably solid feel in hand. OHTO also chose a needle-point tip design, which keeps the writing line visible right up to the point of contact, a small but meaningful advantage for detail work or cramped handwriting.

Refill compatibility with the G2 international standard means the GS01 isn't locked to a proprietary cartridge. OHTO's own PG-105NP refill fits by default, but the open standard gives you flexibility over time.

The GS01 is a full-metal gel pen with an aluminum body that shifts from hexagonal to round along its length, giving you a firm grip where you need it and a clean silhouette where you don't. The needle tip keeps your sightline clear while writing, and the refill uses the widely adopted G2 standard, so replacements are easy to find.
