Behind the Design

Kneaded erasers have been a staple of art classrooms for decades, used to lift graphite and charcoal without tearing paper. This one takes that familiar object and repositions it as a stress-relief tool for adults.

SEED built the SK-NO-1 around the sensory loop that made kneading erasers so compelling as a child: the resistance of the rubber, the way it holds its shape before slowly yielding, and the small satisfaction of pulling and reshaping it between your fingers. The addition of cola and chocolate scents taps into scent-memory, giving the experience a nostalgic quality that goes beyond the physical.

It still functions as an eraser. But SEED is clearly aiming at a different use case: a low-effort, desk-friendly way to decompress during work or study sessions.
