OLFA's Special Black Blade series takes the standard replacement blade concept and pushes the sharpness further through ultra-acute angle grinding. The black coating is a visual signal: these blades are sharpened beyond the typical angle, making them the choice when resistance in the material is the problem, not technique.

The Extra Large H-type blade at 0.7mm thickness sits between rigidity and control. The low flex means the blade tracks straight through dense substrates like thick cardboard, rubber, or layered materials, without the blade deflecting mid-cut. These are sold in both a 5-pack for lighter use and a 20-pack for workshop or production settings.
