The Hyper Scraper series sits inside OLFA's X Design Hyper line, a range focused on grip ergonomics: specifically, the geometry of how a hand applies maximum force without slipping. The 300 is the mid-size standard of the series, sitting between the compact 200 and the longest variant, sized for general scraping tasks where reach and leverage need to balance.

The die-cast head is built around a practical reality of professional job sites: scrapers get hammered. Driving a scraper under paint, adhesive residue, or floor tiles often means striking the grip end with a mallet. The head is rated for this. A drop-prevention cord hole in the die-cast head addresses strict on-site safety requirements where falling tools are a liability, not just an inconvenience.

The blade system uses a screw-lock with a secondary temporary hold, so the blade stays captured even mid-swap. No tools are required. The 0.8mm blade ships as standard because it resists chipping under hammer work, but the body accepts 0.5mm, flexible, and large cutter blades for lighter or more detailed applications. Note: when the blade is set with the sharpened edge facing inward, hammer use is not recommended.
