About Postcard

"Baked with Love" explores the many shapes love and longing can take in a warm, everyday moment. In the postcard, a girl gazes longingly at a freshly baked loaf, unaware that the bakery boy is blushing at how much she adores the bread he made that morning. I was inspired by the Brazilian comic series Turma da Mônica, in particular the story "Pão Pão, Beijo Beijo," about a girl who loves to eat and a boy who bakes for her out of love.
