About Postcard
The postcard I made is called "All on Paper", a collage of cyanotype prints made with office supplies. It is simply an homage to the basic items that can be found in any office setting. I find the charm of these objects in the way they resemble pieces of a puzzle that piece our lives together. Rather than focusing on the writing of a pen, the mark of a pencil, or the utility of a paper clip, I wanted to show the traces of the objects that help people leave their marks. There is much to appreciate about stationery, especially its quiet presence in everyday life and the attachments people form to it. I hope this postcard offers an excuse to pause and look at these mundane objects with a greater sense of wonder.
