Crepas occupy a specific niche in the drawing medium spectrum. They are softer than wax crayons, which means the pigment lays down more richly and responds to pressure variation. A light touch produces a thin, translucent stroke; pressing down gives a dense, saturated fill. This range in a single stick is what makes Crepas useful beyond the classroom.
