Bungu Postcards: Rika Muranushi

I am an artist from Vietnam currently based in Tokyo, Japan. My practice is analog, as I enjoy working with physical media and learning how they behave and misbehave. My work draws from observations of everyday life through repetitive routines such as cooking, eating, cleaning, and walking. I make drawings and prints to document these observations and examine the larger picture they accumulate into over time. I focus on repetition to find comedy in life’s most mundane tasks while exploring the absurdity embedded within everyday behaviors. My practice is an attempt to understand personal and impersonal relationships through these ordinary actions. Currently, I am interested in bugs.
Find me here: Instagram
